Today, Redmi introduced its Redmi Note 12 line of phones in India. Thus, the hit models went beyond China for the first time. Characteristics (almost) have not changed, which in itself is good.

If the Chinese Redmi Note 12 has two modules in the main camera, then the Indian one has three. And this is a rare case when a Xiaomi phone, when entering the global market, did not lose, but even gained something. True, the resolution of the additional sensor is small – only 2 megapixels. The resolution of the remaining sensors is 48 and 2 megapixels.

In the configuration of this model, we recall, a 6.67-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and a frame rate of 120 Hz. The hardware platform is based on Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera, a 5000 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging, IP53 protection and Android 12.

For the first buyers, the following prices are set: 4/128 GB – $ 200, 6/128 GB – $ 225.

Redmi Note 12 Pro has the same display, but is built on a much more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. In this model, the camera has 50 sensors (Sony IMX766, OIS), 8 and 2 MP, the front camera is 16 MP. The 5000mAh battery supports 67W charging. OS – still Android 12. Prices are: 6/128 GB – $ 265, 8/128 GB – $ 300.

Finally, Redmi Note 12 Pro+. It has exactly the same parameters as the Redmi Note 12 Pro, but it supports 120W charging, and the resolution of the main sensor of the main camera is 200MP. Prices are as follows: 8/256 GB – $ 325, 12/256 GB – $ 365.

While Apple frequently releases firmware updates for most of its hardware, this is the first release since the MagSafe Duo officially debuted in 2020.

It’s not yet clear exactly what the firmware update does, as Apple hasn’t provided any release notes, but the latest firmware usually includes performance and security improvements, as well as increased compatibility with other devices.

The charging station will update automatically when it is in use and connected to the mains.

MagSafe Duo lets you charge your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time and costs $129 in the US.

Many have heard claims that Windows 11 is heavily “spying” on users. As a recent YouTube video on The PC Security Channel shows, Windows 11 does send massive amounts of data to its own and third-party servers.

Worst of all, the OS does this before the user even installs or opens their first app. The author of the channel used the Wireshark application to analyze network activity on two “clean” versions of Windows.

The first was the brand new Windows 11, and the second was the good old Windows XP. A quick analysis revealed that Windows 11 connects to many third-party servers and services, most of which do nothing but track for ads. And it’s worth noting that all of these actions take place on every Windows 11 computer out of the box, without prompting the user and before he tries to use the Internet.
