“Gifted” with additional cache memory Ryzen 9 7900X3D first lit up in tests
The first test of the Ryzen 9 7900X3D processor has appeared on the Web, which is equipped with an additional 64 MB of cache.
Ashes of the Singularity became the first test where the CPU was lit up. The PC configuration also included the GeForce RTX 4090.
In Crazy 1080p mode, the system scored between 8900 and 9100 points. Unfortunately, the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark itself is a bad option for comparing GPUs or CPUs, so it makes no sense to talk about any advantage of the new AMD processor over the regular version of the Ryzen 9 7900X in this case. However, the appearance of this result allows us to hope that others will become available in the near future.
The Ryzen 9 7900X3D and 7950X3D will be released on February 28, while the eight-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be available two weeks after that.

Ryzen 7000 “obsolete” this year? Gigabyte is talking about some kind of successor for these CPUs that will come out at the end of the year

AMD has already released both the Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 7000X3D, but this CPU for the AM5 platform does not seem to end there. Gigabyte, in its press release on entry-level servers based on Ryzen CPUs, mentions some new models.
There are no specifics, but Gigabyte calls them not just new CPUs, but successors to the Ryzen 7000.
While these new products are entry-level servers, CPU support doesn’t end there, and the AM5 platform will be supported until at least 2025. The next generation of AMD Ryzen desktop processors due later this year will also be supported on this platform, so customers purchasing these servers today have the option to upgrade to Ryzen 7000 successors
The bottom line is that there is not even a rumor that AMD may release some more new CPUs this year for the desktop segment within the AM5 platform. Yes, we have Ryzen Threadripper and new mobile APUs, but there was no mention of anything new for AM5.
You may recall that in the second half of the year, Intel is going to release Raptor Lake Refresh processors, so AMD may also release slightly improved Ryzen 7000, but this is just a guess.

The cheapest video card with 16 GB of memory, and even with a unique cooler. Acer Predator BiFrost Arc A770 sells for $340

Another Intel video card has become cheaper. This time we are talking about the most expensive offer in the company’s line – Arc A770 with 16 GB of memory. Such an Acer-made card sells for $340.
Before the price reduction, the card was asking for $400. It is worth recalling that the A770 is available in two versions: with 8 and 16 GB. The first has already become cheaper, and sometimes up to 270 dollars. The second fell in price for the first time.
The Acer Predator BiFrost Arc A770 adapter stands out for its unique cooling system with one regular fan and one centripetal fan. This is currently the cheapest 3D card with 16 GB of memory on the market.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be four times slower than RTX 4090? New details emerge about Nvidia’s more affordable graphics card

The GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card will be released in mid-April, and more and more data about even more affordable cards began to appear on the Web. In particular, a TechPowerUp employee shared details about the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, which should follow the RTX 4070.
According to him, the new GPU will operate at frequencies of 2310-2535 MHz. “Premium” versions will boast a frequency of 2685 MHz. We don’t know exactly the characteristics of the graphics core yet, but the available data speaks of 4352 CUDA cores. In this case, the performance of the adapter will be approximately 22.1 TFLOPS. This, for example, is almost four times lower than the RTX 4090.
According to the leaks, the RTX 4060 Ti will also only get 8 GB of memory and a 128-bit bus. There are no rumors about the price yet.
