A few hours ago, we reported on testing a device with an Apple A14 chip in the Geekbench benchmark.

At that moment, we thought that we were talking about a future representative of the iPhone 12 line, but, as it turned out, the device tested in the benchmark was a tablet.

This was stated by the authoritative insider L0vetodream. He added that the device with model number J308AP is a 4th generation iPad Air with LTE module, and with model number J307AP it is a model with Wi-Fi.

According to Geekbench, the Apple A14 Bionic has 6 cores clocked at 2.99 GHz. The tested tablet is equipped with 4 GB of RAM. The result is 1583 points in single-core and 4198 points in multi-core tests.

For comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro with A13 Bionic chip scores 1336 in single-core and 3569 in multi-core tests, while the 2020 iPad Pro with A12Z chip scores 1118 and 4564 points, respectively.

Either way, the Apple A14 Bionic will underlie the iPhone 12 series smartphones, so they’ll be just as powerful.
