The Elden Ring game, whose fans are waiting for the release of the first addition this year, may be released on mobile platforms.
Chinese tech giant Tencent is reportedly already working on a mobile version of the FromSoftware game. Of course, there is no question of a full-fledged mobile port of such a gigantic game on smartphones. At the same time, there is no data yet on what form Elden Ring will be released on smartphones, but it is reported that the game will be free. The latter means that the game must have some kind of monetization mechanisms, and it is not a fact that this will not become a problem.
For example, recently the same Tencent, after two years of work, closed the development of a mobile game in the Nier universe precisely because it did not find a monetization option. However, the Elden Ring fan community is much larger, and the game itself took the Game of the Year award in 2022.
Console, tablet and laptop in one device. OneXPlayer 2 Pro introduced
The OneXPlayer 2 Pro handheld console released by Yihaobook last year has received a new version for the 2024 model year. It received the latest AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processors.
This laptop is equipped with high frequency LPDDR5X memory (up to 64GB optional) and PCIe4.0*4 NVMe SSD. The version with 2 TB SSD costs $1,100, the basic version is offered for $970, it received 1 TB.
The OneXPlayer 2Pro features an 8.4-inch 2.5K IPS display, detachable grips, and accessories such as a magnetic keyboard. The device can act as a portable console, tablet and mini-laptop.
The console features built-in dual stereo speakers provided by Harman and certified by the Harman brand audio. It has a built-in 65.5 Wh battery coupled with a 100 W gallium nitride charger.
The equipment includes a set of popular ports, including USB-C 4.0 and Micro SD 4.0, USB-A 3.0, a 3.5 mm audio interface and a Pogo Pin for connecting a magnetic keyboard.
Is this a Chinese analogue of the GeForce GT710? Moore Threads MTT S30 graphics card can now be used in games
The Chinese company Moore Threads is expanding its range of video cards that can be used in games. The latest driver for Windows now supports the budget MTT S30 adapter, which was introduced a few months ago.
The S30, however, is not initially focused on games, as it was created for office use. Even from the photo you can see that this is the simplest solution with low power consumption.
Technically, there are 1024 MUSA cores (the S80 has four times more) with a frequency of only 1.3 GHz and 4 GB of memory with a 128-bit bus. The TDP of the video card is 40 W.
We’ll probably find out what kind of gaming performance the S30 will have in the near future, but it’s worth remembering that even the S80 is not capable of competing with at least the GTX 1050. However, perhaps the S30 will be suitable for some completely undemanding online games.
The entire Ryzen 5000X3D gaming fraternity in one test. Ryzen 5 5600X3D, Ryzen 7 5700X3D and Ryzen 7 5800X3D review shows what’s best for gamers to buy
The authors of the Hardware Unboxed channel compared all three Ryzen 5000X3D processors that are available on the market. These are the Ryzen 5 5600X3D, Ryzen 7 5700X3D and Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
Let us remind you that the first one has six cores, and the remaining ones have eight each. At the same time, the first one, unfortunately, is officially sold only in the USA and only in the Microcenter chain of stores. Official prices are in the same order of $230, $250 and $450, but the Ryzen 7 5800X3D has long been on sale for around $320.
Since these are gaming processors, we tested them specifically in games. Games are particularly sensitive to cache size, and X3D processors offer a huge amount of capacity for a typical consumer CPU.
As you can see, between the three test participants, despite the difference in frequencies and number of cores, there is almost no difference in performance. All of them are much faster than their regular counterparts without 3D V-Cache, which also show results close to each other.
Thus, among all this trinity, the junior Ryzen 5 5600X3D is the most profitable for gaming, but given its exclusivity, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D will be the best choice for most.
However, here it is worth comparing these CPUs, including the Ryzen 7000. In this generation, AMD has significantly improved the gaming performance of the architecture, so even the regular Ryzen 5 7600 is on par with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Moreover, the first one is significantly cheaper. Yes, AM5 motherboards and DDR5 memory are noticeably more expensive than their AM4 and DDR4 counterparts, but long-term AM5 support is a big plus. In particular, as you can see right there, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D greatly outperforms all participants.
But if you already have an AM4 PC, then the Ryzen 5000X3D is a great option to increase gaming performance.
