Samsung has retired the Galaxy Note 9 – the company will no longer release firmware updates for it. This follows from the list of actively supported smartphones: the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 were added to it, and the Note 9 was excluded.

Galaxy Note 9 is everything. Samsung ended support for this 4-year-old flagship

Samsung is one of the leaders in software support of all smartphone manufacturers. Note 9 was released in 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It later received Android 9 (in 2019) and Android 10 (in 2020), and then continued to receive quarterly security updates.

Samsung also changed the frequency of updates for Galaxy Note 10 smartphones: previously they received security updates on a monthly basis, and now these phones will be updated quarterly. Recall that the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ were released in August 2019 with Android 9 preinstalled.

Will the new Intel processors really become much more

Intel Raptor Lake processors will be unveiled in a few hours, but now we have the opportunity to look at prices that may be in line with the recommended ones.

Will the new Intel processors really become much more expensive? Prices for new items lit up a few hours before the announcement

The fact is that the new items were lit up in the NewEgg store, and marked as recently released. Given the size and status of this network, it is possible that the prices listed there now correspond to those that Intel itself will reveal in a few hours.

And if so, then the same price increase that the company warned about earlier will take place.

  • Core i9-13900K – $660 ($70 more than its predecessor)
  • Core i9-13900KF – $630 ($65 more than its predecessor)
  • Core i7-13700K – $450 ($40 more than its predecessor)
  • Core i7-13700KF – $430 ($45 more than its predecessor)
  • Core i5-13600K – $330 ($40 more than its predecessor)
  • Core i5-13600KF – $310 ($45 more than its predecessor)

Thus, we will get a rise in price by 10-15%. If we talk about competition with AMD, then the Ryzen 5 7600X at a price of $300 is 10% cheaper than the Core i5-13600K, the Ryzen 7 7700X at a price of $400 is more than 10% cheaper than the Core i7-13700K, and the Core i9-13900K at a price of $630 is significantly more expensive than the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X, but significantly cheaper than the top-end Ryzen 9 7950X. We wrote about the performance of new AMD products yesterday.

Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 smartphones received Android 13, but not official – as part of the LineageOS project and LineageOS 20 firmware.

10-year-old Samsung Galaxy Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 received Android 13. True, unofficial

We are talking about an early assembly of LineageOS 20, in which a number of functions do not work: NFC, Bluetooth sound transmission during a call, memory card. Known issues are expected to be fixed as the firmware is updated.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 are ten years old, and you should not expect older devices running the latest Android 13 to run smoothly. Both smartphones had flagship specs for their time, but the 1GB and 2GB of RAM in the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 might not be enough for a full system at the moment.

Recall that the basic versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 were running Android 4.0.4 and 4.1.1, respectively. Android 4.3 and 4.4.4, respectively, were released as the final software versions for these smartphones.
