Samsung Electronics has released a software update for the Galaxy Active Watch 2, which debuted in 2019.
The firmware numbered R820XXU1DUA3 / R820GFC1DUA3 brings a new function to the watch. We are talking about support for the new SmartThings Find service, which was presented simultaneously with the flagship series of smartphones Galaxy S21.
SmartThings Find lets you quickly and easily find compatible Galaxy devices, even when disconnected from your smartphone, according to the manufacturer’s description. The SmartThings Find app will be available on Galaxy smartphones and tablets running Android 8 or higher. Service availability varies by region and operator.
This makes the Galaxy Active Watch 2 the first to receive the SmartThings Find update. SmartThings Find is expected to be available for the Galaxy Watch 3 and other Samsung wearables soon.
