MSI has announced the next generation Alpha 15 and Alpha 17 notebook computers for gamers. The devices are based on the AMD hardware platform.
New items are equipped with a display with a diagonal of 15.6 and 17.3 inches, respectively. A Full HD panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and support for AMD FreeSync Premium technology is used.
The maximum configuration includes the Ryzen 7 4800H processor, which contains eight processing cores with the ability to process up to 16 instruction streams simultaneously. The nominal clock speed is 2.9 GHz, the maximum is 4.2 GHz.
The amount of DDR4-3200 RAM reaches 64 GB. Supports two fast M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3 SSDs. Equipment includes a Gigabit Ethernet network adapter, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) controller, 2W stereo speakers, SteelSeries gaming keyboard.
The graphics subsystem includes a Radeon RX 5600M accelerator with 6GB of GDDR6 memory. Mini DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI are provided for outputting images to an external monitor or TV.
The operating system Windows 10 Home is used as a software platform. Unfortunately, there is no information about the estimated price of laptops.
