Power supply specialist FSP Group has unveiled the new CRPS product line with 80 Plus efficiency level. It was opened by the FSP2000-20HM model, according to the manufacturer, designed in accordance with the latest trends in the field of servers, storage systems and networking applications. The new power supply meets the requirements of data centers for telecommunications, data transmission, cloud infrastructure and corporate IT customers.

The 2000W PSU is housed in a standard CRPS enclosure measuring just 73.5 x 185.0 x 40mm. This has been achieved through “digital topology” and the latest component layout technologies.

The PSU is designed for a wide input range of 90 to 264 VAC. Its circuitry includes active power factor correction. The high efficiency of the unit is confirmed by the 80 Plus Titan certification, which indicates that the efficiency does not fall below 96% at typical load. The main 12V DC output can continuously deliver up to 163.6A, and the peak current can be 45A higher. The FSP2000-20HM works with the PMBus to communicate with the system controller (BMC). It can be part of a data center infrastructure management system (DCIM) that supports monitoring and management of power supplies. The power supply supports cold standby. The maximum redundancy is 3 + 1 in a configuration that supports a total of 6000 watts.

A $250 smartphone with 10x optical zoom? In China, such a device will allegedly be released under the NZone brand.

NZone S7 Pro

The operator China Mobile under the NZone brand is preparing to release a model with the catalog number SP210, which will receive a triple main camera with a 10x optical zoom. Unfortunately, we only know that the main sensor will have a resolution of 50 megapixels.

Perhaps the information about 10x optical zoom is a mistake or a typo. Firstly, since the smartphone will cost only $250, and secondly, because NZone is China Mobile’s brand under which the company releases Huawei smartphones. And Huawei simply does not have an inexpensive smartphone with a 10x optical zoom. In fact, there are no such devices on the market at all.

Perhaps this refers to a hybrid zoom, or even only digital. But if, by some miracle, a $250 smartphone with a 10x optical zoom does come out, it will be a unique product.

From the rest, a 6.7-inch IPS screen, 5G support, an unknown eight-core platform, 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of flash memory, and a 4900 mAh battery are reported. Dimensions will be 163.3 x 74.7 x 8.4 mm with a weight of 195 g.

Apple wants to use E Ink screens in the iPhone

Apple may start using E Ink screens in its devices. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo spoke about this.

Apple wants to use E Ink screens in the iPhone and iPad. The company is testing similar displays as auxiliary displays for flexible models.

Apple is testing an E Ink display for future foldable devices. The E Ink color display can be the go-to solution for foldable devices that need a cover or second screen due to its excellent power savings

Kuo says that Apple considers such screens as additional ones. For example, it can be a small secondary screen on a foldable iPhone or a screen on an iPad case.

E Ink screens only consume energy to change the image, so they are great for such tasks. We have already seen smartphones with such screens, so there is nothing new for the market.

When such devices can enter the market is not yet clear, but Apple may not release the first foldable smartphones until 2025, according to the same analyst.

A new era in the Windows mobile game console market

With the release of Ryzen 6000 mobile processors, equipped with very powerful iGPUs, a new era of Windows handheld game consoles is dawning.

The Aya Neo 2 console with Ryzen 7 6800U was unveiled yesterday, and now GPD has boasted that it has already acquired a batch of the same APUs, so GPD Win Max 2 test models based on this platform should be ready by June. Judging by the entry, the company did not expect that it would be able to get the processors so quickly.

A new era in the Windows mobile game console market. GPD has already received the Ryzen 7 6800U APU for the Win Max 2 console

GPD Win Max 2 was introduced back in March, but with a Core i7-1280P processor, but its graphics subsystem is no match for the iGPU in the Ryzen 7 6800U.

As a result, before the end of the year, at least two more portable set-top boxes with Windows that can handle modern games should appear on the market. True, apparently, in both cases we are talking about a Full HD screen, which creates an additional load on the GPU. For the same Steam Deck, the resolution is HD.
