Free YouTube exclusive on Android now available for money on iPhone
The YouTube video team reported that after a long wait, iOS users have finally begun to access the Picture-in-Picture feature, where the player window is zoomed out and displayed on top of other running apps.
Note that for Android users, Picture-in-Picture has been available on YouTube for several years. In most regions, this feature is only supported for the paid YouTube Premium subscription, but in the US, users of all devices running Android 8 Oreo and higher can use Picture-in-Picture on YouTube for free, but with ads.
IOS users in the US who pay for YouTube Premium will be the first to receive the innovation. That is, just in the region where Picture-in-Picture YouTube is available for free on Android, it can only be used for a fee on the iPhone. The spread has already begun.
However, YouTube representatives have confirmed plans for the subsequent wide rollout of the feature to all iOS users in the United States. That is, over time, “Picture-in-Picture” YouTube will become available to those iOS users who have not paid for the YouTube Premium subscription. However, the exact launch date for free users has not been disclosed.

Nothing Phone (1) will receive a FullHD + OLED screen with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It will be built on the basis of a Snapdragon 778G + single-chip system. The main camera will be equipped with image sensors with a resolution of 50 and 16 megapixels, the front camera will be 16 megapixels. The battery capacity will be 4500 mAh, it will support 45-watt charging.
The smartphone will run on the Android 12 operating system with the Nothing OS shell and proprietary Glyph Interface installed.
