Mark Morheim left Blizzard in April 2019. He did not abandon his favorite business, but, on the contrary, gathered his former colleagues and opened his own business.

Paradise for creativity

Morheim founded Dreamhaven as executive CEO. The company will not directly develop games, but was created to publish, support and finance its two in-house studios – Moonshot Games and Secret Door. It is noteworthy that both enterprises were founded by former Morheim colleagues.

“Dreamhaven will allow studios to focus on their craft and bring ideas to life, providing support and resources over the long term. Our teams have the freedom and flexibility to express their individuality in games, ”reads the company description.

Moonshot Games has ten employees and is led by Hearthstone Executive Producer and StarCraft 2 Lead Producer Jason Chayes. He works with game director StarCraft 2 and Heroes of the Storm by Dustin Browder and Hearthstone Creative Lead Ben Thompson.

The Secret Door, in turn, has seven employees, and is controlled by Chris Sigati, Executive Producer of Hearthstone, StarCraft 2 and Heroes of the Storm. The developer will work on new projects together with game director Hearthstone by Eric Dodds and game director Heroes of the Storm by Alan Dabiri.

It is still unknown what exactly Moonshot Games and Secret Door are preparing, but the studios have already planned one game each, and are looking for additional hands to develop projects.
