For which chips will HarmonyOS 2.0 be adapted

One of the bloggers of the social network Weibo published a list of processors for which the operating system HarmonyOS 2.0 (OS Hongmeng) from Hawei will be adapted. According to the leak, the transition to the new OC will be gradual, with flagship chips being the first to receive the upgrade.

List of chips for which HarmonyOS 2.0 is being adapted:

  • Kirin 9000 SoC
  • Kirin 990 5G
  • Kirin 990 4G / 985/820
  • Kirin 980, 990 4G
  • Kirin 810, 710

Some mobile phone users will be able to update to the latest version of HongmengOS in January or February 2021. After that, the system will be tested for several months and global deployment will begin. Earlier it became known that Huawei plans to provide developers with a beta version of mobile HarmonyOS 2.0 in December this year.

HarmonyOS 2.0 was announced on September 10 – the system will also be used on TVs, smart home devices and other gadgets.
