Following Apple: Samsung will remove headphones and charging from the Galaxy S21 box

This fall, Apple removed the earbuds and power adapter from the iPhone package, which caused a flurry of criticism. Moreover, not only users, but also competitors in the mobile market, including Samsung, criticized Apple for this decision. The South Korean company has been the loudest trolling at Apple for abandoning headphones and charging, emphasizing that its smartphones come with a full set of accessories. But it seems that now Samsung is going to do it again for Apple.

Recently, there were rumors on the web that the flagships of Samsung, which will be released next year, will be deprived of the headphones and power adapter in the kit. And today the first confirmation of this appeared. The filing of Brazilian telecoms regulator ANATEL states that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, which will include three models, will not ship with a charger and headphones.

Specifically, the certification document states that the smartphones will not be sold with a power supply, but have been tested with two Samsung chargers with model numbers EP-TA800 and EP-TA800B. Headphones are not included in the package. However, the new flagships have been tested with three headphone models with numbers GH59-15106A, GH59-15107A and GH59-15403A.

Surely Samsung is not the only manufacturer to follow Apple’s lead and remove headphones and charging from the box of their smartphones. And it is possible that in a couple of years the delivery set consisting of a smartphone and a USB cable will become a kind of standard in the global mobile market.
