Wccftech has published the first live photo of AMD’s EPYC 7763 Milan server processor. It is based on the Zen 3 architecture.

The site also reveals the key parameters of the novelty – it is a 64-core, 128-thread processor. The second level cache is 32 MB, the third level cache is 256 MB. TDP level – 280 W.

The base frequency of operation is 2.45 GHz, in overclocking mode – up to 3.55 GHz. But, considering that we are talking about a test sample for now, the operating frequency may increase by the time the processor goes on sale.

The main difference between the new EPYC Milan server line from AMD from the previous generation is the transition to the Zen 3 architecture.

Significant gains in productivity and energy efficiency are expected.

The start of sales is expected before the end of 2020.

As for the AMD Ryzen 5000 desktop processors, then, according to pessimistic forecasts, they will be available only in the spring of 2021. But the Russian prices for them are already known. You can get acquainted with them here.
