Apple has ditched the headphone jack and home button, with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the power button. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6 and 5G. The main camera uses a 12-megapixel sensor (the resolution of the front camera sensor is also 12 megapixels).

The new budget iPad is compatible with the Magic Keyboard Folio and the first generation Apple Pencil. Pre-orders in the US are accepted from today, retail sales start on October 26.
