Finally, the PlayStation 5 can be made in color. Removable panels in Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple available in June

The new variants are already available for pre-order, but will go on sale in June. The colors are called Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. Regardless of the color, the panels cost $55 per set. Here it is worth clarifying that these colors will be new in terms of sales, and Sony introduced them back in December, along with two more colors that went on sale back in January.

Today, we’re excited to introduce the newest colors to the PS5 family of color accessories: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. In addition to previously released DualSense wireless controllers in Cosmic Red and Midnight Black, the latest galaxy-inspired colors will soon be available worldwide.

These new console panels are beautiful and easy to use – just remove the original white panels from the PS5 console and put the new ones back in place. PS5 panels will be available for both PS5 ODD and PS5 Digital Edition and will be sold separately from the DualSense console and controller

The media told why there were so many errors in

After the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 at the end of 2020, it turned out that the game has a lot of bugs and flaws that have been fixed over time. Now there is information that the project was simply poorly tested before release.

The media told why there were so many errors in Cyberpunk 2077 - the game was simply poorly tested

It is alleged that CD Projekt RED hired the Romanian company Quantic Lab, which previously tested The Witcher 3, to test the game. However, experienced testers had left Quantic Lab by this time, although the company claimed otherwise. This is stated in a video on the YouTube channel Upper Echelon Gamers, which received a 72-page document with test reports, data from the personnel department and so on. This data was allegedly given to the author of the channel by an anonymous employee of Quantic Lab. Although no screenshots or documents are shown in the video.

The video claims the following:

  • Quantic Lab lied about the size of the test team in order to keep the contract.
  • Many team members were newbies who needed to be trained in parallel with testing.
  • The Romanian company required a daily quota of bugs to be met, so any bugs were sent to the developers, not the most important ones. Because of this, really significant errors were often not detected in time.

It is also noted that as a result, CD Projekt RED changed the requirements for testing, now it was necessary to report only important errors, but time was lost.

At the same time, YouTube blogger LegacyKillaHD, who previously reviewed Cyberpunk 2077, asked about the situation of several developers from CD Projekt RED on condition of anonymity. According to them, they knew about the problems in the game, but there was not enough time to fix them.

Microsoft Edge browser updated for streamers and gamers

Microsoft continues to actively promote the Xbox Cloud Gaming service and other gaming features. At the same time, developers add them to the proprietary Edge browser. Back in November last year, it became known about Clarity Boost technology, which improves image clarity when streaming games on Windows 10 and 11. Now, as expected, it will appear in the Edge browser.

In addition, Microsoft advertises the Efficiency Mode in the browser, which should minimize the load on the system and give maximum resources to games.

And on the home page of the updated version of the browser, free casual games are available – Microsoft Jewel, Microsoft Edge Surf, Microsoft Majong and others. It also displays news on gaming topics, live streams, new games and the ability to access the Xbox Cloud Gaming catalog.

Note that this is not the first “gaming” browser on the PC. Previously, Opera Software released the Opera GX browser with aggressive visual design, support for free casual games, related news and so on.

And earlier in Microsoft Edge added a calculator, a unit converter and a utility to check the speed of the Internet.

Valve Specialist Explains Why You Shouldnt Install Too Long SSDs

A few days ago, information appeared on the network that it was possible to install a longer SSD in the Steam Deck than planned. However, such interference may adversely affect the life of the console.

Valve Specialist Explains Why You Shouldn't Install Too Long SSDs in Steam Deck

By default, the Steam Deck uses a 30mm SSD, however, players were able to install a 42mm long model with more memory. To do this, I had to move the fixing screw on the motherboard and remove the thermal pad.

According to Valve designer Lawrence Young, who participated in the development of the console, this should not be done. The fact is that larger drives consume more energy and heat up more. And ditching the thermal pad makes things even worse as the console starts to overheat.

Please, do not do that. The charger chip becomes very hot, so do not move nearby thermal pads. In addition, most M.2 2242 drives use more power and run hotter than the ones the Steam Deck is designed to handle. It may seem that this modification works, but it will significantly reduce the life of your portable PC.‘, Young said.

Note that the console officially supports three SSD options – 64 GB, 256 GB and a faster 512 GB.

Previously, it was reported how you can significantly increase the autonomy of the Steam Deck console.
