The PC Health Check Tool, which allows you to assess the performance of your PC and answer the user’s question whether his computer is suitable for installing Windows 11, was released in the last week of June, but Microsoft very quickly removed it from its website – after many users began to complain on inadequate operation of the application. For example, even quite powerful PCs have not been tested for compatibility with Windows 11. Later, the application was tested by members of the Windows Insiders program, and now, finally, its final version has been released for ordinary users.
You can download the PC Health Check Tool directly from this link. The tool not only gives a verdict, but also indicates the specific reasons for the incompatibility of the computer or laptop with Windows 11 (if, of course, it is incompatible). In reality, it looks like this:
Interestingly, Microsoft has not yet made any official statements regarding the release of the final version of the PC Health Check Tool – the application just appeared on the official website of the company.
It’s cooler than Apple and Microsoft: Intel introduced the Unison program for synchronizing messages and photos between iPhone, Android and PC
Intel has announced a new program called Unison that will allow you to connect iOS and Android smartphones to PCs with Intel processors. This will make it possible to actually transfer all the main functions of smartphones to a PC. This program was shown along with a PC with a sliding screen.
The new program will allow you to make and receive calls on your PC using your smartphone, send and receive text messages, transfer photos and files, and receive various notifications.
It’s somewhat similar to the Link to Phone app in Windows 10 and Windows 11, but Unison offers more options. If Link to Phone only works with Samsung smartphones and some other brands, then the new system will appear for all mobile devices. At the same time, the iPhone version will be slightly less functional – this applies to text messaging and managing third-party applications. All this is due to the restrictions put forward by the company from Cupertino.
At the first stage, the new feature will be available only to owners of laptops based on 12th generation processors released by Acer, HP and Lenovo. These laptops are part of the Intel Evo program. After the release of models on chips of the 13th generation, the list will expand.
Note that there is a similar one on the MacBook, where you can synchronize data with the iPhone. Now the same is expected on Windows.
Google Tensor G2 platform, 50MP with OIS and Android 13 out of the box. Renders and specifications of Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro a week before the announcement
Google’s event, in which the company is expected to unveil the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones, is scheduled for October 6, but the source has already released high-quality renders and specs for both.
In general, these are software and hardware platforms. Both will receive Android 13 out of the box and the proprietary SoC Tensor G2 as part of the hardware platform.
The Pixel 7 Pro will have a 6.7-inch OLED screen with QHD resolution and a 120Hz frame rate. The amount of RAM will be 12 GB, built-in flash memory – 128 or 256 GB. The front camera will be 11 megapixels, the main sensors will be registered with a resolution of 50 megapixels, 12 megapixels (with an ultra-wide angle lens) and 48 megapixels (with a telephoto lens). The battery capacity will be 5000 mAh, the maximum charging power is 30 watts.
Google Pixel 7 is traditionally simpler. There is a 6.3-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and a frame rate of 90 Hz, a main camera with sensors with a resolution of 50 and 12 MP (front camera with the same sensor with a resolution of 11 MP), only 8 G RAM (volumes of flash memory – 128 or 256 GB), 4700 mAh battery with 30 W charging support.
New MIUI feature introduced: Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones can now change the style of the battery icon
Xiaomi on the official page on the Weibo social network has introduced a new MIUI firmware feature for Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones.
This feature is called “battery icon emoji” and allows you to customize the icon that shows the battery level in the status bar.
By selecting the appropriate MIUI theme, users can freely customize the battery icon style, shape, size. Various options are provided.
