Despite the fact that Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has been on the market for more than half a year, and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 has already been released, among other platforms of the new line, Qualcomm has only Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which so far has become the basis of only one smartphone. But today data about the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 appeared on the Web.

The source shared a screenshot from the Qualcomm website, so we know all the parameters. True, in some places the details are not enough.

For example, you can see that the new SoC will receive Kryo processor cores, but there is neither the number nor the names of the cores. Unless the frequency is indicated – 2.2 GHz. At the same time, there is hardly any doubt that the CPU will be eight-core.

The device pairs with Garmin solutions, including smartwatches, navigators, and more, as well as smartphones running iOS and Android. This is done using the Garmin Messenger app. Once connected, it can receive and send messages, transmit coordinates or send an SOS signal.

The inReach Messenger has its own screen, and the system itself is powered by a battery that lasts for 28 days of operation.

The novelty is equipped with an impact-resistant case with protection level IPX7, its dimensions are 80 x 60 x 15 mm, and the weight is 115 grams. Its cooler than Apple and Microsoft Intel introduced the Unison

Intel has announced a new program called Unison that will allow you to connect iOS and Android smartphones to PCs with Intel processors. This will make it possible to actually transfer all the main functions of smartphones to a PC. This program was shown along with a PC with a sliding screen.

The new program will allow you to make and receive calls on your PC using your smartphone, send and receive text messages, transfer photos and files, and receive various notifications.

It’s somewhat similar to the Link to Phone app in Windows 10 and Windows 11, but Unison offers more options. If Link to Phone only works with Samsung smartphones and some other brands, then the new system will appear for all mobile devices. At the same time, the iPhone version will be slightly less functional – this applies to text messaging and managing third-party applications. All this is due to the restrictions put forward by the company from Cupertino.

At the first stage, the new feature will be available only to owners of laptops based on 12th generation processors released by Acer, HP and Lenovo. These laptops are part of the Intel Evo program. After the release of models on chips of the 13th generation, the list will expand.

Note that there is a similar one on the MacBook, where you can synchronize data with the iPhone. Now the same is expected on Windows.
