FiiO Showcases FD5 Flagship Stainless Steel Headset

The renowned Chinese manufacturer of high-tech audio equipment FiiO showed off the new FD5 headphones, which are likely to become the flagship of the brand. The head of the division has published a series of live photos of the upcoming news via the Weibo platform. Already by design, it becomes clear that the company has developed premium quality headphones.

The appearance of the product can indicate the use of a semi-closed system – you can see the filters installed on the outside of the headphones. The stainless steel case looks very impressive.

In the examples, the manufacturer used an MMCX interface with an 8-core silver-plated wire with a 4.4mm plug, which is also made of high-quality stainless steel.

A diamond-like coated beryllium dome diaphragm and a dual acoustic chamber are used in combination with the company’s patented solutions to ensure high-quality sound. All of this should ensure excellent sound reproduction with deep detail.

The developers brought FiiO FD5 headphones to the HiFi Experience conference in Beijing, which was held from November 19 to 22, where participants appreciated the product. According to company representatives, the model will go on sale in early December. The price has not yet been announced, but Chinese insiders say that at best it is about $ 460, but the price tag could be 2 times higher.

Looks are dated and FiiO have a great L shaped connector on most of their IEM’s, so why the straight one?

Can’t wait to see it get into the hands of the reviewers.
