Yesterday, the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi announced the release of the next e-book, and today its detailed characteristics have become known.
The new product called Mi Reader Pro is equipped with an E-ink display 7.8 ” diagonal and a resolution of 1404 x 1872 pixels (300 ppi). The dual-tone LED backlight has 24 brightness levels and the ability to adjust the color temperature. The special energy-efficient EPDC controller is responsible for smooth page turning with minimum battery consumption.
The e-book received a quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory. Powered device running Android 8.1 Oreo. The manufacturer has announced the presence of Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi modules.
The reader has a 3200 mAh battery. According to the developers, this can be enough for 70 days of battery life. Charging and synchronization with a PC is carried out via the USB Type-C port.
At the start of sales in China, the novelty will cost approximately $ 170. In the global market, it is definitely not worth counting on a price below $ 200.

As already mentioned, The Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 single-chip platform. In fact, it is a renamed Snapdragon 855, so despite many differences, Xiaomi Book S 12.4 and Xiaomi Pad 5 are still “brothers” . The amount of RAM was 8 GB, built-in flash memory – 256 GB (there is a slot for microSD cards, media up to 512 GB are supported). The device received a 38.08 Wh battery with support for 65 W fast charging.
As the name suggests, the tablet has a 12.4-inch screen. The IPS matrix is characterized by a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a peak brightness of 500 cd / sq.m and coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The screen is protected by tempered glass Gorilla Glass 5.
The front camera of the device is 5-megapixel, the main one is with a sensor with a resolution of 13 megapixels. The tablet runs Windows 11 out of the box. The list of specifications also includes a USB-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac adapters and Bluetooth 5.1.

The tablets will be running the Android 12 operating system. An official announcement is expected soon, but prices are still unknown.
