Far Cry 6 Adds Ray Tracing, Fidelity FX And Other Newfangled Effects

The game recently featured in Episode 5 of the Radeon RX 6000 Partner Showcase video series. In the last video, Alexander Polishchuk, Senior 3D Programmer at Ubisoft, talked about some of the effects in Far Cry 6.
The set for modern next-gen is pretty standard, but still interesting. Of course, ray tracing, variable rate shading (VRS) and FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) will appear.
“We were very impressed with the latest technology at AMD and have joined forces to bring modern effects to Far Cry 6.”
Of course, all of this requires a lot of memory bandwidth, and a Radeon RX 6000 with Infinity Cache can accomplish this task without any problems without sacrificing frame rate.
The new part of the famous gaming franchise will be released in 2021. The game was postponed for several months, and last week on one of the pages of Microsoft found a mention that the project will hit the shelves on May 25.
