Facebook has released a new version of the Messenger app with a brighter logo, redesigned design and new features. The current changes are part of the updated Facebook messaging platform announced at the end of September. For the first time, such an initiative provided Instagram users with the ability to connect with Facebook users.
The key to Messenger’s cross-platform communication capabilities is the updated logo. It now looks more like the Instagram logo with blue, purple and pink hues. The default chat color has also been changed to reflect the new style. In the near future, users will begin to deploy additional skins and individual reactions that allow you to respond to messages using different emoticons instead of the standard set.
“Our mission, with over a billion users worldwide, is to be a one-stop means of communication and convergence. The new design reflects the future of messaging – a more dynamic, fun and integrated way to communicate with friends and family in your favorite apps, ”reads the Facebook blog.
More features will follow shortly thereafter, including selfie stickers and a fade mode that allows you to delete all chat messages after you leave or after they’ve been read. These are the same features that Instagram users got in their last update. Messenger will support third-party AR effects from next year.
Users in North America will be the first to appreciate the new features. Then the innovations will spread to other countries.
