The smartphone has become an integral part of modern life, but the main problem both 10 years ago and now, is the process of charging the battery. Smartphone users charge them in most cases every day, or even several times a day, while making mistakes that cause them to break down faster and become less autonomous. Experts have shared three main mistakes that smartphone users make when charging, and although for some they may be obvious, many will be interested and useful to know.

One of the most common mistakes made by smartphone users is charging up to one hundred percent and discharging to zero. It should be understood that modern lithium-ion batteries, on the other hand, lose their initial capacity faster from full charge and discharge, so experts recommend charging your smartphone to about 90 and discharging to about 10 percent, and thus achieve the best results.

Also, do not put the smartphone on charge, covering it with a pillow and a book. The device heats up during charging, so do not insulate it and do not allow adequate heat dissipation. There were even cases when the smartphone overheated and lit up while charging.

Another important common mistake is charging with non-branded chargers. This can lead to both slow charging and incorrect fast charging. Use adapters and power banks only from proven manufacturers, as this will save both charging time and battery life.
