Even a 12 year old laptop can install Windows 11 22H2. No Microsoft hardware limitations are a problem when using Rufus
One of the users of the largest American Reddit forum shared his story of installing Windows 11 22H2 on a very old laptop – a 12-year-old Acer Aspire 7740 equipped with a dual-core Core i5-580M processor. The system does not have a TPM, the processor is even more not officially supported, but this is not a problem if you use the “right” software: in this case, the user used Rufus 3.20, the application allows you to bypass all hardware restrictions to install the latest version of Windows 11.
The story of the PC requirements for installing Windows 11 is known, if not to everyone, then to many: Microsoft limits the installation of the OS on computers without TPM support (at least in the form of software emulation), with a small amount of RAM, on “old” processors. However, using Rufus is one of the easiest ways to get around all these restrictions.
Interestingly, back in June of this year, users had the opportunity to install the Windows 11 22H2 beta on “unsupported” PCs running Windows 10. But Microsoft quickly figured out this “bug”. However, using Rufus, you can now install the final version of Windows 11 22H2 on very old computers.

On December 15, Intel will release Core Ultra processors for mobile computers, and on the same day Samsung will introduce a new line of its laptops – Galaxy Book 4. The devices will be presented as AI laptops.
It is known that Samsung has registered the name “AI smartphone”; according to rumors, the Galaxy S24 will be presented as such. But the Galaxy S24 will debut, according to preliminary data, on January 17, 2024, which means that the first AI laptop from Samsung will be released a month earlier than the AI smartphone.
Core Ultra will have a neural processor to accelerate AI tasks, and it will be on its basis that Samsung’s proprietary Gauss language model will work (all calculations will be performed by the device itself, no “clouds”).
It is reported that LG Electronics and HP are also preparing to release AI laptops based on Core Ultra, but it is not a fact that they will also be presented on December 15.
The Galaxy Book line will include five models: Galaxy Book 4, Galaxy Book 4 360, Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro, Galaxy Book 4 Pro and Galaxy Book 4 Ultra. The specifications will apparently be the same as the Galaxy Book 3. The only difference is that instead of the 13th generation Intel Core there will be first generation Intel Core Ultra processors. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra will have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 dGPU.

The official premiere of Intel Core Ultra processors from the Meteor Lake family will take place soon – on December 15, so advertisements are starting to appear in online stores describing new laptop models based on the new CPUs. Thus, one of the retailers revealed the characteristics of the future gaming Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 2024.
While the 2023 model number is GU604, the 2024 model number is GU605. The top configuration will have a 16-core Ultra 9 185H (6 large cores, 8 small cores and 2 more ultra-low power cores), complemented by a GeForce RTX 4090 Mobile dGPU. The laptop will have two slots for RAM: the basic version has only 16 GB, but there is also an option with 32 GB of RAM. The configuration also includes a 1 TB SSD. But, unfortunately, there are no prices yet.
The official premiere of Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 2024 will most likely take place on the same day that the processors will be presented.
