Elon Musk ousted former President Barack Obama as the most followed person on Twitter.
The billionaire currently has 133.1 million followers, compared to Obama’s 133 million, according to his respective Twitter profiles.
Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter helped boost his following dramatically. Last June, the head of Twitter had 100 million followers, but since then the number has increased significantly.
Elon Musk manages to publish memes, as well as report various changes taking place on Twitter and SpaceX. He also polled followers about some of the big decisions, such as Donald Trump’s return to the platform and whether the billionaire should step down as Twitter CEO.

Turning on the display of seconds in the Windows 11 system clock reduces the autonomy of laptops

Microsoft recently released an update to Windows 11, which contains a number of new features and functionality. Including the ability to enable the display of seconds on the clock in the tray. At the same time, which is very unexpected, the inclusion of this function, according to Microsoft itself, increases power consumption and, as a result, reduces the autonomy of mobile PCs. The authors of the Neowin portal decided to check if this is really the case. It turned out that this is indeed the case.
The experiment showed that the display of seconds reduces the autonomy of the test laptop by about 1.9%. This is a very minor difference, but the very fact that it exists is interesting. It is also worth noting that the testing format assumed the operation of a laptop without any load, that is, the PC simply stood with the sleep mode turned off and simply gradually discharged.
The experiment with Windows 10 showed an almost identical result, so it’s not about Windows 11 at all. The source does not say what are the reasons for this behavior of the OS.

RTX isn’t just for gaming. Nvidia and Microsoft Show What Benefits Users Will Get With Windows First Adapters

Microsoft continues to exploit the theme of generative AI at an accelerated pace and implement such technologies in its products. Now Nvidia has joined in. At the Microsoft Build event, companies showcased a set of improvements to Windows 11 PCs and workstations with Nvidia RTX GPUs.
The importance of this collaboration is that the same tensor cores in Nvidia RTX video cards, which in most cases are only needed to implement DLSS technology in games, will become useful in other areas.
For example, Nvidia graphics cards will enable the acceleration of the Nvidia AI software stack inside the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), which allows Linux to run directly on Windows 11. Developers will be able to use Windows PCs for all their local AI development needs with support for deep learning frameworks with GPU acceleration in WSL.
However, here you need to understand that these particular functions are likely to be available only for professional Nvidia RTX adapters, and not for GeForce.
However, the latter will not be left out of work. Nvidia promises to introduce a new low-power Max-Q inference for AI-only workloads on RTX GPUs soon. The solution is to optimize the performance of tensor cores in such a way as to keep the power consumption of the video card as low as possible. Simply put, Nvidia is optimizing mobile graphics cards to perform at their best with AI.
