Microsoft will release a major functional update of the Windows 11 operating system in 2023. Despite the fact that it is far from the release, detailed information has appeared on the network about what Microsoft is preparing for us.

First, Microsoft will make volume control much easier in Windows 11. The app-specific volume tool in Windows 11 can only be accessed through Settings.

Luckily, Microsoft is testing a more modern tool for this. It can be accessed directly through the taskbar, similar to the volume control solution in Windows 10. Users will be able to quickly decrease or increase the volume of any open applications. For example, by making music apps like Spotify louder. While the innovation is hidden in the code and users cannot test it.

Another new feature is an option called AllowExperimentalFeatures on the Windows Insider Program settings page. This option will finally allow Windows Insider testers to activate features disabled by the company but hidden in the OS code.

And finally, the biggest update of the “Explorer”, which has already begun to circulate rumors. The new File Explorer should get deep integration with Microsoft 365, a new look, a new “recommended files” tab, display of conversations in emails, and more.

More than a year ago, Google began work on a tool for editing screenshots directly in the proprietary Chrome browser.

The feature first appeared in an early test build of Chrome Canary version 98. Over the course of a few months, the utility acquired new functionality, and it seemed that it was destined to appear in a stable version for all users soon.

Unfortunately, recent changes to Chromium indicate that the project to create a screenshot editor is closed – at least in its current form.

According to the documentation in the Chromium Gerrit code repository, the developers have removed all traces of the screenshot editing tool from the browser. Google employee Ellie Fong-Jones explained that the feedback during testing showed all the “rawness” of the tool, emphasizing that developers do not see ways to implement it without serious rework.

All these phones will receive the final MIUI 14 before the end of March this year. Moreover, in some cases, the firmware will be built on Android 13 (for fresh models like Redmi Note 12 Pro), in some cases, based on Android 12 (Xiaomi 10S). You also need to understand that the indicated period is valid for China, in other countries the final MIUI 14 will be released later.

As for tablets, the release of the final MIUI 14 for Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 and Redmi Pad is expected in early April.
