Today, Elon Musk turns 51, while the billionaire does not forget that his commercial space flights were previously criticized by Neil Armstrong and Eugene Cernan from NASA, and this criticism almost brought the head of SpaceX to tears.

Even though NASA partnered with SpaceX, some astronauts weren’t happy with that fact. NASA legends Neil Armstrong and Eugene Cernan told the US Congress that the then-Obama administration’s decision to approve the commercialization of space could jeopardize security. Cernan called it “the administration’s oath of mediocrity”. When the interviewer asked Elon Musk what he thought about this, he clearly felt emotional and said that he was very sad to hear this: “These guys are my heroes, so this is really hard.”

Unlimited by power limits the Core i9 13900K shows incredible performance

The Core i9-13900K processor, in the absence of a power limit, can compete with the monstrous Ryzen Threadripper.

Unlimited by power limits, the Core i9-13900K shows incredible performance, but also consumes more than a HEDT-class CPU

Testing showed that in Cinebech R23 in multi-threaded mode, the upcoming Intel flagship in the regular version out of the box is gaining almost 35,700 points. And this result is already very good, since, for example, the Core i9-12900K scores 27,500 points, and the 32-core Threadripper 2990X scores 30,000 points.

But if you remove the power limit, then the Core i9-13900K is already gaining more than 40,600 points! And this already correlates with the capabilities of the modern 24-core Threadripper 5965WX, and the 32-core Threadripper 5975WX is not catastrophically faster.

The price to pay for this performance will be power consumption. The CPU consumes more than 250 W under load even without any modifications, and in the absence of restrictions, the figure soars up to 345 W! This is more than the same Threadripper 5000 requires.

Recall that the Core i9-13900K will still have only eight large cores, although there will already be 16 small ones.
