Elon Musk has said that fully autonomous driving technology for Tesla cars will be ready by the end of this year. Musk mentioned this at an energy conference in Norway, Reuters reports. According to Musk, a car equipped with such a system would not need a driver at all. Recall that now the active driver assistance system provided by Tesla, although it is called an autopilot, has a number of limitations: the driver must still monitor the road and be ready to take control at any time. By the way, recently the cost of installing such a system on a Tesla car has risen to $15,000.
Musk believes that owners of fully autonomous Teslas will be able to use them as a robot taxi while they themselves are at work, earning additional income. Earlier, he already pointed out that a large amount of money is spent not only on driving cars, but also on their storage. In his opinion, you can get rid of a large number of parking lots if the car is constantly running. Tesla is gearing up for a large-scale rollout of fully self-driving vehicles in the US and Europe by the end of 2022, but the exact timing is subject to regulatory approval.
Suzuki focuses on flying cars and cargo drones

The partnership between SkyDrive and Suzuki was first talked about in March 2022. The companies plan to cooperate in the financial, scientific and technical fields, joint participation in the development of a flying car and further business development.
Suzuki will not only invest in SkyDrive, but will also provide its own technologies, including the latest successful developments in weight reduction and electrification. At the same time, the company plans to develop business in various international markets, including India.

Chinese startup China Car Custom has unveiled the SC-01 (Sport Car 01) electric sports car. Deliveries of the car will begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, but the price is already known: it is 300,000 yuan, or about $42,000.
The design of the electric car is interesting. If the model received an original look from the front, then in profile the SC-01 has direct intersections with the first Tesla Roadster. But the view from the stern is even more interesting, as the features of the Lancia New Stratos are guessed in it. Dimensions: 4085 x 1820 x 1162 mm. Wheelbase – 2500 mm, weight – 1300 kg. There are no interior pictures yet.
SC-01 is an all-wheel drive car: there are two electric motors with a total power of 435 hp. Up to 100 km / h, the car accelerates in 3.9 seconds. The maximum speed and battery capacity have not yet been disclosed, but the cruising range is known – up to about 500 km on a single charge.
China Car Custom was founded in 2014 and has been tuning various models like the Porsche 911 and Mitsubishi 3000GT until now. In addition, she has collaborated with a number of racing teams to help tune the cars, and recently secured financial support from Xiaomi, which allowed her to become a full-fledged automaker.
Ford has developed a new unique way to reduce the turning radius of the car
Ford has come up with a new solution to reduce the turning radius of cars. If other companies add a steered rear axle, then Ford suggests reducing the turning radius by changing the torque on individual wheels.
The manufacturer has already filed a corresponding patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The description of the patent says that a special controller will monitor indicators such as steering angle and wheel speed, thereby determining the need to reduce the turning radius. Ford calls this feature “turn assist mode.”
When this mode is activated, the system reduces the torque transmitted to the rear inner wheel and sends more torque to both front wheels. Torque reduction for the rear wheels can be achieved by braking, and therefore the system can be used, including for front-wheel drive vehicles.
It is not yet known when such a system will be implemented in Ford production vehicles. It is quite possible that the development will not reach the stage of commercialization.
