Electric vehicle maker Nio plans to build 4,000 battery replacement stations worldwide by 2025

Instead of recharging the batteries of an electric vehicle, which can take a long time and requires the laying of powerful lines of force to the charging station, you can use another approach: quickly replace the discharged batteries with charged ones, and then charge the discharged ones in a less demanding mode.

The second approach is being played by the Chinese high-end EV maker Nio. Of course, the success of this approach directly depends on the availability of battery replacement stations. According to a source citing the words of the president of Nio, the company plans to open 4,000 such stations around the world by 2025. By the end of this year, 700 stations will be ready.
