Dying Light 2 highlights its skill trees in new video

Dying Light 2 revealed a new trailer this week, showing the game’s two skill trees in detail, including highlighting some of them in detail. Check out the video below to see some of the things you can do in the game.

It’s not an impressive amount of skills, but it’s certainly not few. the gameplay of Dying Light can be basically separated between combat and parkour, so no wonder these are the names of the two skill trees the player will access.

In the combat part, the video highlights a so-called Block Charge, which seems very useful for escapes from high places. Using this skill the player picks up an enemy and uses it as a “mattress” for a fall, being able to fall from high places without taking damage and getting rid of an opponent in the process.

Another skill highlighted in combat is a strong stomp on the ground to destabilize nearby soldiers.

In the parkour part, nothing too out of the ordinary is shown. A longer, even superhuman jump appears, in addition to the simple ability to push enemies along the way.

But it has a skill that is very important in any game that focuses on agility and parkour. In the game it’s called Tic Tac, and it’s the ability to run on walls.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human launches February 4 on PC, PS4 and PS5 and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

You give twice as many artificially drawn frames in games! Frame generation technologies in Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 forced to work together

You give twice as many artificially drawn frames in games

Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR upscalers have their own variants of frame generation technology, which work differently and are available on different video cards. But it turns out that these technologies can be made to work together.

You give twice as many artificially drawn frames in games! Frame generation technologies in Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 forced to work together

The authors from QuasarZone decided to check whether it would be possible to make the HR generation technologies of two companies work on one PC, and it turned out that it would work. But only in a very specific way, and the results are ambiguous.

You give twice as many artificially drawn frames in games! Frame generation technologies in Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 forced to work together

This all works thanks to the fact that AMD has an AFMF generator built into the driver, otherwise it probably would not have been possible to implement the idea. However, the system must still have two different 3D maps. In the case of the authors of the idea, they used the RTX 4090 and RX 6600.

Rendering of the game, in this case several projects, including Cyberpunk 2077, was carried out on the RTX 4090 card. It also allowed DLSS 3 to be activated with frame generation. Next, the RX 6600, to which the monitor is connected, comes into operation. Technically it is used for image output, but the AMD driver allows you to improve performance through AFMF before outputting the image. That is, the AMD frame generator adds frames to a picture that the Nvidia generator had previously added frames to.

At the same time, productivity increases greatly. Almost three times the original value and twice the value obtained after the generator in DLSS 3.

This implementation, surprisingly, does not cause any special technical problems. Is it possible that the 1% Low indicator may even decrease in a number of games, although in Cyberpunk it has increased.

In addition, it is worth remembering that AFMF technology turns off as soon as the player starts moving the camera quickly, but in quiet modes it automatically turns back on. Unfortunately, the authors did not pay attention to image quality, which is very important, given two technologies for completing frame drawing.

Nvidia is in a sense giving away over a hundred

Nvidia has decided to update gifts for buyers of GeForce RTX 40 video cards, but there are no games in the new set. Or there is, but it depends on how you look at it.

Nvidia is, in a sense, giving away over a hundred games when you buy a GeForce RTX 40 graphics card. In fact, the gift comes with a Game Pass subscription

The bottom line is that when purchasing a 3D card, the user will receive three months of Game Pass subscription as a gift. That is, access to more than a hundred games for free. That is, in a sense, we can say that more than a hundred games are included as a gift, but only for three months.

In addition, customers receive a free three-month subscription to the GeForce NOW Priority cloud gaming service. True, it’s not very clear why the owner of a fresh RTX 40 video card needs cloud gaming, but it’s still a gift.

Such gifts come with all RTX 40 cards, but, as always, not in all regions and not even at all retailers. This particular promotion is available in North America and most of Europe. Buyers in Latin America and most of Asia will only receive a Game Pass subscription.

The worlds first mini PC with a processor like the Asus

AMD earlier this year introduced the Ryzen Z1 and Z1 Extreme hybrid mobile processors, designed for portable consoles. It turned out that a mini-PC with such an APU will soon appear on the market.

The model is called Edge Z1 and is based, as the name suggests, on the base Ryzen Z1 APU. This, for example, underlies the younger version of Asus ROG Ally.

Let’s remember that the Ryzen Z1 has six cores with a frequency of up to 4.9 GHz and an iGPU Radeon 740M with 128 stream processors. The performance of this APU in games is not particularly high due to the rather weak graphics core, but later there will be a version on the Ryzen Z1 Extreme, which is generally the same as the Ryzen 7 7840U.

The ETA Prime channel tested a prototype mini-PC, but since this is a completely ordinary product, it is unlikely that the serial one will be much different. In addition to the mentioned processor, we can note two slots for RAM, a slot for SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB-C, USB 3, USB 2.0, RJ45 and HDMI ports. Dimensions are not specified, but the PC is very compact.

There is no release date or price yet, but the manufacturer plans to initially enter some kind of crowdfunding platform.
