the cannabis is often controversial, because it has negative effects and benefits for the organization. Nevertheless, the sale of consumer products containing cannabis has been legalized in some countries like Canada. The aim of this maneuver was above all to decrease the attraction of this drug on young people. However, a recent study shows that this measure has not had the desired effect in Canada.

A research on the cases ofcannabis poisoning in children under 10 in the Ontario region prove. According to the results, there is nine times more emergency room visits per month for this type of intoxication. Moreover, the legalization of cannabis for recreational use coincides with this increase.

the Dr Daniel Myran is the main author of this research which was published on January 7, 2022. He is a specialist in public health and preventive medicine. It is also postdoctoral researcher at The Ottawa Hospital.

No children have died from cannabis poisoning

The work of Dr Myran and his team spread between January 2016 and March 2021. Throughout this period they have counted 522 emergency room visits for cannabis poisoning at the less than 10 years. The researchers noted that the patients had on average three years and nine months. Among these many cases, there were no deaths. However, 171 of them had to be hospitalized and 19 went to intensive care.

“We have seen an increase in the frequency and severity of emergency room visits for cannabis poisoning among children under 10 years of age after cannabis legalization and the legalization of cannabis edibles seems to be a key factor. “

Steps taken to reduce cannabis poisoning have had the opposite effect

During the pre-legalization period (January 2016 – September 2018), the number of emergency room visits for children under ten amounted to 81. In 25% of cases, hospitalization was necessary. Following the flower legalization, seed and of cannabis oil (October 2018 – January 2020), cannabis addicts were more numerous. With 124 children after entering the emergency room, 24% had to be hospitalized.

However, the legalization of consumer products and other products containing cannabis resulted in an even greater increase. In barely a year (February 2020 – March 2021), the number of emergency room visits has reached 317. Even the hospitalization rate has climbed to 39%.

In fact, the average emergency visits per month triple between each of these three periods. At the start, it was 2.5 and rose to 7.8 and finally reached 22.6 cases per month.

A $250 smartphone with 10x optical zoom? In China, such a device will allegedly be released under the NZone brand.

NZone S7 Pro

The operator China Mobile under the NZone brand is preparing to release a model with the catalog number SP210, which will receive a triple main camera with a 10x optical zoom. Unfortunately, we only know that the main sensor will have a resolution of 50 megapixels.

Perhaps the information about 10x optical zoom is a mistake or a typo. Firstly, since the smartphone will cost only $250, and secondly, because NZone is China Mobile’s brand under which the company releases Huawei smartphones. And Huawei simply does not have an inexpensive smartphone with a 10x optical zoom. In fact, there are no such devices on the market at all.

Perhaps this refers to a hybrid zoom, or even only digital. But if, by some miracle, a $250 smartphone with a 10x optical zoom does come out, it will be a unique product.

From the rest, a 6.7-inch IPS screen, 5G support, an unknown eight-core platform, 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of flash memory, and a 4900 mAh battery are reported. Dimensions will be 163.3 x 74.7 x 8.4 mm with a weight of 195 g.

Apple wants to use E Ink screens in the iPhone

Apple may start using E Ink screens in its devices. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo spoke about this.

Apple wants to use E Ink screens in the iPhone and iPad. The company is testing similar displays as auxiliary displays for flexible models.

Apple is testing an E Ink display for future foldable devices. The E Ink color display can be the go-to solution for foldable devices that need a cover or second screen due to its excellent power savings

Kuo says that Apple considers such screens as additional ones. For example, it can be a small secondary screen on a foldable iPhone or a screen on an iPad case.

E Ink screens only consume energy to change the image, so they are great for such tasks. We have already seen smartphones with such screens, so there is nothing new for the market.

When such devices can enter the market is not yet clear, but Apple may not release the first foldable smartphones until 2025, according to the same analyst.

With the release of Ryzen 6000 mobile processors, equipped with very powerful iGPUs, a new era of Windows handheld game consoles is dawning.

The Aya Neo 2 console with Ryzen 7 6800U was unveiled yesterday, and now GPD has boasted that it has already acquired a batch of the same APUs, so GPD Win Max 2 test models based on this platform should be ready by June. Judging by the entry, the company did not expect that it would be able to get the processors so quickly.

A new era in the Windows mobile game console market. GPD has already received the Ryzen 7 6800U APU for the Win Max 2 console

GPD Win Max 2 was introduced back in March, but with a Core i7-1280P processor, but its graphics subsystem is no match for the iGPU in the Ryzen 7 6800U.

As a result, before the end of the year, at least two more portable set-top boxes with Windows that can handle modern games should appear on the market. True, apparently, in both cases we are talking about a Full HD screen, which creates an additional load on the GPU. For the same Steam Deck, the resolution is HD.
