DJI Introduces Mini 2 Drone Supports 4K Video and RAW Photos

DJI, which recently ditched the Mavic brand, today announced a new version of the Mini drone. The device, which weighs 249 grams, differs from the first model in extended functionality.
As indicated by DJI, the new product will receive “improved visualization capabilities, high performance and improved data transmission technology.” DJI President Roger Luo commented on the second generation of the world’s most popular drone, “The Mini 2 is a massive breakthrough for DJI and drone users worldwide, with an unprecedented combination of weight, safety, performance and value.”
The Mini 2 is equipped with OcuSync 2.0 technology, allowing the drone to reach a maximum range of 10 km. That’s 150% more than the original Mavic Mini. Due to the new engines, the flight time of the device has increased to 31 minutes.
Another major update to the Mini 2 is the camera. The new drone is capable of recording 4K video at 30fps and 100Mbps. DJI has also added the ability to shoot RAW photos.
DJI also updated the DJI Fly app. It now allows you to connect your smartphone directly to the Mini 2, bypassing the remote control. This allows you to download footage to your phone in real time.
The DJI Mini 2 has a list price of $ 449.
