Dell Upgrades Laptops & Mini PCs with 11th Gen Intel Core Processors

In anticipation of CES, Dell is announcing new business laptops that will begin shipping in the coming weeks. The company is updating the Latitude series and 15.6-inch Precision series with 11th Gen Intel Core processors. For home users, Dell also introduces a pair of modular desktops.
The 14-inch Latitude 9420 laptop, optimized for video conferencing, will ship with two upper and two lower speakers for a surround sound effect. It also features four noise canceling microphones.
Another feature of the new Latitude 9420 will be the SafeShutter system. According to Dell, the curtain will automatically open when you activate a Zoom call and close when the meeting ends. In addition, the laptop has a built-in button with which you can physically turn off the camera. The Latitude 9420 will go on sale March 9 starting at $ 1,949.
Dell is also updating the Latitude 5000 series – on January 12, the company will begin selling new models in 13.3 “, 14” and 15.6 “sizes. For example, the 14-inch version, the Latitude 5420, starts at $ 1,049.
The update will also roll out to the Latitude 7000 series. 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch models of this line will go on sale on March 30. Dell notes that they will start at $ 1,649 and can now be equipped with a 4K screen and 1080p webcam.
Another laptop to be updated is the Precision 3560 Mobile Workstation. Dell says it has completely redesigned the product and includes an Nvidia Quadro T500 graphics card as an option. The Precision 3560 will go on sale January 12, starting at $ 1,189.
In addition to laptops, the company introduced the OptiPlex 7090 Ultra mini desktop PC. The product stands out for its modular design: the hardware can be packed in a dedicated PC monitor stand to hide it from view and save desk space. This device will start at $ 769. But the display will have to be purchased separately. The PC itself can be powered by an 11th Gen Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, up to 64GB of RAM, and various SSD options.
For customers on a tight budget, the company has created a cheaper Intel Celeron-based version of the OptiPlex called the OptiPlex 3090, starting at $ 649. Both models will go on sale on January 28th.
