DCIaaS market will grow more than 100 times in five years

Digital transformation (DX) is one of the trends shaping the corporate world and driving investment that organizations are making to modernize their IT infrastructures and processes. One of the important elements of this process is migration to services, which allows organizations to more effectively use the capabilities of modern information technologies. Until recently, service-based IT was largely associated with public cloud services. However, over the past year and a half, a number of system providers and cloud service providers have introduced a new class of offerings that are designed to enable cloud environments to run on-premises, i.e., on-premises.

Dedicated Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (DCIaaS) provides computing and storage resources dedicated to an individual customer that are deployed on-premises and used as a service. This model is essentially a dedicated version of the public cloud offering modified to run on-premises or in a specially certified co-location environment, including outside of the traditional datacenter environment. The cloud provider retains full ownership of all underlying infrastructure hardware and software and is solely responsible for its deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and eventual disposal upon termination of the subscription.

Analyst firm IDC predicts that DCIaaS revenue will grow from $ 138 million in 2020 to $ 14 billion in 2025 at a CAGR of 151.8%. DCIaaS solutions will be used by both enterprise customers and service providers who use the infrastructure to deliver cloud services to their customers.
