Countdown On: Musk Plans to Close Twitter Acquisition by October 28
Businessman and billionaire Elon Musk said that the deal to buy Twitter is scheduled to close by October 28, that is, by this Friday. This statement was made during a video conference with the participation of Musk himself and the bankers who help finance the deal.
As expected, the money will be kept in an escrow account (escrow account) until the last moment. At the same time, representatives of the billionaire did not respond to a media request on this topic, and Twitter and Morgan Stanley declined to comment.
If this information is correct, Musk will acquire Twitter for $44 billion by the end of the week. Previously, this was preceded by almost six months of “maneuvers” between the businessman and the social network, the case even went to court.
However, in early October, it became known that Musk decided to return to the deal at the original price, because the parties suspended the trial just until October 28.
Earlier it became known that in the event of a purchase, Musk wants to fire 75% of Twitter employees.

The good news is that the devices of the line (and there are three of them – Xiaomi Pad 5, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro WiFi) will receive MIUI 15, but the bad news is that this firmware will be based on Android 13, and not Android 14. Thus, the release of MIUI 15 will be the last major software update for these models.
The team of the popular WhatsApp messenger announced upcoming changes for users of older smartphone models. WhatsApp may stop working on their devices in a month.
The updated WhatsApp support page states:
Starting October 24, 2023, only Android OS version 5.0 and higher will be supported.
Thus, by October 24, WhatsApp users should update the OS version on their smartphone, and if Android 5.0 or a newer version is not supported, think about changing the device. After “Day X”, all WhatsApp services will become unavailable on devices.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra worked for exactly 10 hours, the Samsung flagship worked 27 minutes longer, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max took first place with a result of 10 hours and 31 minutes.
Of course, all autonomy tests are carried out differently, so the results may differ, although not radically. But we can state that, firstly, Apple’s flagship is better again this year, and secondly, its advantage over some competitors is not particularly significant.
