Chrome, YouTube and Gmail are still on hiatus: Google started updating iPhone apps after a long hiatus

Google hasn’t updated its iOS apps in over a month. And finally, the strange situation was resolved and the applications began to be updated. True, not all of them.
Google last updated a number of iOS apps just a day before the new App Store rules went into effect – December 7th. Then 15 applications were updated at once. Since then, there have been no updates for iOS, although Google’s Android apps have been updated more than once since then.
However, the coherent theory about the conflict between Apple and Google breaks down on a simple fact – TechCrunch journalists were able to find a couple of Google applications that were updated about a week after the introduction of the new rules – they were Google Slides (Google Slides) and Socratic’s homework assistant.
Whatever the reason for the pause with the rest of the apps, they finally started updating. Google Fiber, Play Movies & TV (Google Play Movies), Google Translate (Google Translate) have already received updates.
However, apps like Google (Search) and YouTube, which were previously updated once a week, are still out of the question, as are Maps, Gmail, and Photos.
Another example of a departure from old traditions is the Chrome browser. Chrome 88 for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android came out last week but still hasn’t arrived on iOS.
