Thanks to the Ryzen 6000U processors, a lot of portable game consoles with excellent performance will appear on the market in the near future. But the new Ayaneo company shows that you can do without the new AMD processors.

The console called Next II will be released at the end of the year and will offer the most unexpected configuration. The fact is that this will be the first portable set-top box with a discrete graphics card!

The novelty will be available either with a combination of a Ryzen 6000 processor and a Radeon RX 6000 3D card, or with a pair of an Intel Alder Lake CPU and a DG2 GPU, that is, the Arc family.

Unfortunately, there are no details, but we can assume that we are talking about the Radeon RX 6300M ​​and Arc A350M or A370M. And it’s still not very clear whether it makes sense to use such components in a portable set-top box, especially considering that there is a Ryzen 6800U.

There are no other technical details about the console yet, but it is known that it will be very large, and the price will be very high.

Yesterday, Nvidia released the GeForce GTX 1630 video card, which is far behind the Radeon RX 6400 and GeForce GTX 1650, and sometimes even behind the GTX 1050. Yesterday, many manufacturers introduced their cards, including Gigabyte.

The manufacturer has released two models, one of which can attract additional attention at least for its performance. Model GeForce GTX 1630 OC Low Profile 4G, as the name implies, is based on a low-profile printed circuit board. In some cases, such adapters are preferable to conventional ones.

The card does not require additional power, and its port selection is wider than some other GTX 1630s, including DVI, a pair of HDMI and DisplayPort. The length of the card is only 167 mm.

There is also a slight overclocking: the GPU operates at a frequency of up to 1800 MHz against the factory 1785 MHz.

Also in the range of Gigabyte appeared and model GeForce GTX 1630 OC 4G with a core frequency of 1815 MHz and in the usual form factor. However, it does not have a second HDMI port.

While Intel’s Alder Lake processors have been very successful, the company has reportedly already begun cutting prices on them.

DigiTimes, which has many supply chain sources, claims that Intel has cut prices on the latest Alder Lake CPUs. The reason is that orders from PC manufacturers for the second half of the year turned out to be significantly less than Intel expected. This is due to a decrease in demand for PCs in general.

Exactly how much Intel lowered prices is not reported. It is also unclear whether the company will reduce them in retail as well, since now we are talking about wholesale prices for PC manufacturers. However, be that as it may, for consumers it is in any case good.
