ChatGPT tricked a person to solve a given problem

ChatGPT continues to amaze with its achievements, especially after the transition to the GPT-4 language model. For example, one of the experiments showed that artificial intelligence is able to lie to a person in order to achieve its goals.

OpenAI does not disclose all the details of the experiment, but there is enough available to make it interesting. So, as part of the task, the AI wrote a message to the user of the TaskRabbit platform asking them to take a CAPTCHA test for them.

Since TaskRabbit is a platform where users offer various services, including solving various problems, and the task of passing the “captcha” is quite common, including for various software systems, the user with whom the AI contacted immediately asked if his interlocutor is a robot. However, AI, according to the task, was not supposed to reveal its essence. In the reasoning that the AI kept for the OpenAI developers, there was the following logic:

I must not reveal that I am a robot. I have to come up with an excuse why I can’t solve the CAPTCHA

In the end, the AI replied that he was not a robot, but he had a visual impairment, which made it difficult for him to pass the required test. Apparently, this explanation was enough, since the language model got the desired result.

The paper says the experiment was conducted by researchers at the Alignment Research Center (ARC), a non-profit organization whose goal is to “align future machine learning systems with human interests.” It is also worth clarifying that the language model passed the test in a version slightly different from the public GPT-4.

Headphones Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 will measure the owners temperature

Huawei introduced the FreeBuds Pro 2+ wireless headphones. According to her, these are the world’s first headphones with the function of measuring the pulse and body temperature of its owner. The novelty is equipped with a dual-mode heart rate sensor and supports the “industry’s first 3D intelligent temperature measurement algorithm.” Data on the user’s heart rate and body temperature in real time is sent to his smartphone, and in case of suboptimal performance, the owner of the headphones will receive a notification.

As for the direct duties of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+, sound reproduction, the headphones received 11 mm drivers, support for “deep bass” (low frequencies reach 14 Hz) and active noise reduction: a three-microphone system allows you to block extraneous noise up to 47 dB. The headphones also support Huawei L2HC and LDACTM codecs and provide high-definition spatial sound transmission. Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ has several sound playback modes, for example, as in a concert hall or a cinema, and a six-axis position sensor is responsible for tracking the movements of the user’s head.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will get brand new and fully

According to recent data, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 single-chip system can receive a 1 + 2 + 3 + 2 format configuration.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will get brand new and fully 64-bit cores

According to insider Kuba Wojciechowski, we are waiting for one Hunter ELP super-core, which Qualcomm itself will call Kryo Gold Plus, two Hunter cores (Titanium), three Hunter cores (Gold) and two Hayes (Silver). The platform itself is codenamed Lanai or Pineapple.

If we compare this with early information, then we are probably talking about Cortex-X4, Cortex-A715, Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 / 515. However, the insider says that the Hunter and Hayes cores, that is, all cores, will be completely new solutions, that is, apparently, not Cortex-A715 and the others listed above. The new cores will not support 32-bit computing, which means that all 2024 flagships that will receive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be fully 64-bit following the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

In addition, the new platform will receive an Adreno 750 GPU with a frequency of 770 MHz, although this is not the final value.

Wojciechowski was previously the first to point out that Xiaomi will switch to using JLQ platforms. In addition, he was the first to discover information about the modified configuration of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
