Canon RF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM and RF 600mm F4 L IS USM lenses introduced



Along with the first Canon RF mount macro lens, Canon introduced two telephoto lenses of the same system. These are the Canon RF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM and RF 600mm F4 L IS USM models.

The lenses are equipped with image stabilization systems that achieve 5.5 stops of exposure, regardless of which camera the lens is used with. The stabilizer has three modes of operation: one is more suitable for shooting stationary objects, the second is for panning, that is, shooting with wiring, and the third is for shooting lenses that move unpredictably. According to the manufacturer, the new telephoto lenses are ideal for shooting sports events, airplanes, trains, cars and wildlife such as birdwatching.

The lenses are compatible with Canon RF 1.4x and 2x Teleconverters. A common design feature of the two models is an adjustable electronic focusing ring with the ability to intervene with autofocus at any time. For added convenience, two focusing positions can be saved with the ability to instantly return to any of them.

The Canon RF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM and RF 600mm F4 L IS USM lenses will go on sale in July for $ 11,999 and $ 12,999, respectively.
