Canon EOS R3 Professional Mirrorless Camera Designed for Sports and Reportage Shooting Announced

Published

on

Canon has announced the development of the EOS R3, a professional full-frame mirrorless camera. According to the manufacturer, who notes the high light sensitivity and speed of the camera, it is able to satisfy the needs of photographers filming sports events and news photo reports.

The company does not go into details, but mentions the use of a proprietary image sensor. A back-illuminated CMOS sensor with multilayer technology and a high-performance Digic X image processor enable continuous shooting at 30 fps with tracking focus and metering. The autofocus system will be equipped with eye, head and body recognition functions.

The EOS R3 will use an improved version of technology pioneered in the Canon EOS 5. It is about selecting and moving the focus point using the eye that looks through the viewfinder. This is said to be faster and more natural than using the buttons on the camera body, which can be especially useful for news and sports photographers.

Of course, given the application, the EOS R3 will be rugged, dust and moisture resistant, and well suited for landscape and portrait photography.

You can turn off Recommendations in mobile Chrome

Google is preparing to introduce an innovation that will delight many users of the mobile version of the proprietary Chrome browser.

You can turn off

We are talking about the ability to remove the Discover ribbon (Recommendations) from the Chrome New Tab page. On mobile versions of the Google Chrome browser, the new tab page currently hosts a search bar, most viewed websites, and two content feeds. One of them is the traditional Google Discover channel (Google Recommendations), which shows a list of articles recommended for the user by Google algorithms.

Soon, the browser should be able to remove this feed – using a special flag #feed-ablation, which will appear on the chrome://flags page. It’s already available in an early test build of Chrome Canary, and is expected to be released with the release of stable Chrome 103 next month.

Google TV finally has support for user profiles

Recall that Google TV is not an independent operating system and not renamed Android TV, but an additional shell for Android TV. It debuted on the Chromecast media player in October 2020. Since launch, Google TV users have been complaining about the lack of full support for multiple profiles on the device. The feature was announced in October last year and was scheduled to begin rolling out to devices by the end of the year. However, two months later, Google delayed the launch indefinitely.

Now Google has announced the start of rolling out support for multiple profiles on the same device with Google TV. The feature will not appear instantly for all users, but gradually over the next few weeks.

It will allow you to create a personalized space on one TV for several users with different Google accounts. Each of them can access personalized recommendations, quick access to their watch list, and so on.
