Canon credited with intending to release over 100MP EOS R system camera

Published

The source returned to the topic, started in December by reporting that Canon is planning to release a 90MP EOS R5s mirrorless camera. It was originally intended to be a variation of the illustrated EOS R5, which is known to use a 45MP sensor.

Recalling that this is still unofficial information, the source claims that the resolution will be higher – more than 100 megapixels. Information about this allegedly came from a “reliable informant”. However, according to him, Canon has not yet decided which image sensor to use in a high-resolution camera with an RF mount. However, it is known that the camera will act as a kind of repetition of Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R SLR models at a new stage of technology development. Recall that the EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R cameras released in 2015 had the highest resolution among full-frame SLR cameras at that time, equal to 50.6 megapixels. They were positioned as an affordable alternative to medium format cameras, and the manufacturer attributed advertising, studio, portrait, landscape and architectural photography to their areas of application.

Choosing a sensor with a resolution of more than 100 megapixels will further distance the new camera from the EOS R5. The informant also said that the new camera will not just be a variant of the EOS R5 body with a higher resolution sensor. Perhaps it will have ergonomics, more tailored to the needs of landscape and studio photographers.

The week began for the main cryptocurrencies of the world with a rise in price and the establishment of new price highs, and ends with a fall, and quite noticeable. Over the course of a day, Bitcoin loses about 4.5% of its value, and as a result, for 1 BTC now they give not $ 66,000, but about $ 60,500.

After Bitcoin began to fall, Ethereum was still holding, but its rate had already gone down too, dropping below the psychological mark of $ 4,000. Analysts believe that such a fall in cryptocurrencies is due to their sell-off on the part of investors – they are fixing profits against the backdrop of a strong growth in value that has been observed since the end of September. This means that after the current correction, Bitcoin may rush to new heights, but whether altcoins will follow it is a big question.

Interestingly, against the background of a decrease in quotations of other cryptocurrencies from the Top 10, Solana feels very confident: it grew by almost 6% per day, and by almost 25% in a week.
