Canadian authorities have included small modular reactors (SMRs) among the clean energy technologies eligible for the new investment tax credit. This was taken as a clear signal that nuclear energy is recognized as clean energy on par with all other low carbon technologies.

Deputy Prime Minister and Treasury Secretary Christia Freeland said today’s focus is on “building an economy that works for everyone…even as we face global headwinds, the investments we make today will make Canada more resilient and prosperous for the future.” generations.”

The federal government, in its April 2022 budget, promised to establish an investment tax credit for investments in cleantech, with a focus on zero-emission technologies, battery storage solutions, and clean hydrogen.

The government also indicates in a statement that it will hold consultations on “additional acceptable technologies (eg large-scale nuclear and large-scale hydropower)”. The authorities will announce specific details of what these technologies will be in the 2023 budget.

The investment tax credit is expected to be CAD$6.7 billion (US$5 billion) over five years starting in 2023-24.

“Including nuclear power in the Clean Energy Technology Investment Tax Credit is a major step forward for the industry and great news for our climate and economy,” said John Gorman, President and CEO of the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA).

This confirms what we at CNA have been saying for years: nuclear power is clean energy and should be a key part of Canada’s strategy to maintain energy security while reducing emissions towards net zero.

Music from NFT tracks plays just like any other audio files.

“Winamp has always been about accessibility and innovation, and today we are proud to launch the very first standalone player that reads NFT audio and other existing formats,” Winamp CEO Alexander Saboundjian wrote in the official release.

The latest version of Winamp allows music lovers to link their MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet through the Brave, Chrome or Firefox browser with Winamp. Users can then connect their favorite track as an NFT file.

In addition to audio, Winamp also supports video files based on the ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards. So far, the novelty is supported only on the Windows operating network, but in 2023 the company plans to expand the line to other ecosystems.

In an upcoming update in early 2023, the Winamp developers plan to implement a dedicated service for artists and users. It is expected that direct sale of tokens will become available, as well as the organization of concerts through the services of the player. It is expected that the update will immediately be cross-platform.

Winamp is one of the oldest PC music players, created in 1997 by Nullsoft.

The Twitter Blue subscription will cost 7 but not on

The media reported that Twitter decided to change the price of the Blue subscription. It will cost $7, but you will have to pay $11 in the App Store right away to offset the 30% commission that Apple takes. Such a commission is valid for the first year, then it drops to 15%. It is possible that the subscription price will also drop in the coming December.

Earlier, Elon Musk has already spoken out against Apple for such a high commission and said that the corporation threatened to remove Twitter from the App Store. Later, after meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, Mac said there were no such threats. In addition, earlier the businessman postponed the launch of a paid subscription, fearing the same high commission.

Thus, when paying through the web version, the price will be significantly lower, although it is not yet clear whether these are just plans for the future or a ready-made scenario.

Earlier it was reported that after Musk bought it on Twitter, many employees of Tesla and The Boring Company, as well as some of the billionaire’s relatives, went to work.

The journalists of the Gizmochina resource most of all praise the new screen, arguing that this should be in every smartphone. Recall, the new Realme is equipped with a curved OLED display with a very narrow frame. But it is also one of the first devices on the market that supports PWM at a frequency of 2160 Hz. Thanks to this, the use of a smartphone should not cause discomfort for people who are sensitive to flicker.

Our colleagues also note a low weight of 180 g, but Realme achieved it quite simply: both the case frame and the back cover are made of plastic.

The performance of the smartphone is very high, as it has a new Dimensity 1080 SoC, which is slightly faster than the Dimensity 920.

As for the rest, the novelty has a decent 108-megapixel camera, a lot of memory, excellent autonomy and good software (Android 13 with Realme UI 4 shell).
