Wear OS smartwatches are not very popular in the market. Many companies have stopped using this platform, but soon, according to many rumors and leaks, Wear OS will receive a huge update that could make this platform much more attractive.

It is not yet clear when it will be released, but today it became known that tiles for third-party applications will soon appear in Wear OS. The Jetpack Tiles library is already available for developers, although it is still in alpha version.

This set of tools will allow Wear OS software developers to create their own tiles, and users can select them if they want. At the moment, owners of smartwatches with this OS can only use either native Google tiles, or tiles created directly by companies that have released certain smartwatches.

Recall that tiles are desktops with various information and functions. They allow you to quickly access the software you need. The Android blog says that an update with support for third-party tiles will be released in the spring, but it’s unclear if this is about that huge update.

AMD and Microsoft have finally resolved both Ryzen and Epyc CPU performance issues when running Windows 11.

Microsoft has already released the patch in the Insider Build, now it’s available to everyone. Recall that it solves the problem of high latency in the L3 cache.

AMD, in turn, has released a patch that solves the problem of UEFI CPPC2 with incorrect work of the task scheduler for processor cores.

In the case of the first patch, you need to install a Windows update, but the second one needs to be downloaded from the AMD website yourself. More precisely, you do not need to download a patch, but a fresh driver for the motherboard chipset – the patch is part of it.
