Apple is gradually updating its devices, transferring them to single-chip systems of the Apple Silicon family. The next Apple device to receive Apple Silicon is the iMac Pro. Its launch is expected in a few months.

According to new information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the tech giant’s upcoming iMac Pro will feature an updated design and modern specs. The source writes that the 27-inch iMac Pro will have a similar design to the 24-inch iMac, which is equipped with a single-chip M1 system. There is also information that the device will receive a Mini LED display with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The device is expected to feature Apple’s recently announced M1 Pro and M1 Max single-chip systems, which are found in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models released last year. The device can start with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, just like the MacBook Pro.

Although there has been no official word from Apple about the upcoming iMac Pro model, the source claims that the device could be launched in early 2022, presumably at a spring event.

Nvidia has declared war on counterfeit graphics cards from China

Nvidia has decided to start fighting counterfeit video cards that are sold in large quantities on various Chinese marketplaces, and recently outside of the Middle Kingdom.

Nvidia has already partnered with leading Chinese e-commerce companies to rid the market of fake GeForce accelerators.

Nvidia has declared war on counterfeit graphics cards from China. The company cooperates with trading platforms

The problem of counterfeit video cards is indeed quite serious. A number of Chinese brands that have sinned with such activities, including 51RISC, Corn or MLLS, were previously blocked even inside China, but such cards still end up on sale, including in the US via eBay, Amazon or even NewEgg.

It should be noted here that we are not always talking about a fake in the literal sense. Sometimes Chinese manufacturers repaint memory chips to hide the fact that the adapter is not new at all, sometimes you can find a desktop adapter based on a mobile GPU. In some cases, the cards are quite working, but there are always reservations and nuances.

Nvidia itself, of course, denies any involvement in this phenomenon. The company’s initiative to combat counterfeit cards is already bearing fruit. Platforms JD.com and Douyin have already managed to remove such accelerators from their assortment. These were mainly cards from the GeForce GTX 10 and RTX 20 lines. And the Pinduoduo and Tmall platforms implemented a policy for used products and refurbished devices on their websites.

Nvidia also gave a number of tips to consumers. Firstly, the company advises buying the latest GeForce RTX 40. Allegedly, based on the fact that there are no fakes for them yet. Secondly, Nvidia advises buying 3D cards from well-known brands. Thirdly, those who do not want to buy RTX 40 or do not have funds for such cards can pay attention to the RTX 30 line, but it makes sense to choose versions that came out after the end of the cryptocurrency boom. For example, RTX 3060 with 8 GB of memory.

The design of the new Porsche Cayenne has been declassified

Yesterday, high-quality images of the interior of the new Porsche Cayenne appeared on the Web, and today images have been published that allow you to evaluate the design of the car itself. It is reported that these pictures are taken from the interface of the media system of the updated Cayenne.

The design of the new Porsche Cayenne has been declassified. It will get Taycan-style headlights.

The most important innovation will be the headlights, as if borrowed from the Taycan. The front bumper will change somewhat – it will become more massive and will receive large vertical jumpers. At the back, the lights will merge with the LED strip connecting them (here, by the way, there is also an obvious similarity with the Taycan lighting technology).

The SUV should also receive a modified suspension and updated engines. The official premiere will take place on April 18 at the Shanghai Motor Show.

The novelty is distinguished by compliance with the ATX 3.0 specifications, which, among other things, means the presence of a new 12VHPWR power connector. That is, with this PSU, when connecting the corresponding video cards, you do not need to use adapters.

The novelty is capable of delivering up to 108.3 A current through a single 12 V line. Also worth noting is the 80 Plus Platinum certificate and a large 135 mm fan, which is configured in such a way as to provide high performance with low noise levels.

The manufacturer also focuses on the fact that the component base is built using exclusively high-quality Japanese capacitors.
