Biostar Racing Z690GTA motherboard received a 17-phase power subsystem

Biostar has unveiled the Racing Z690GTA motherboard for gaming systems based on 12th Gen Intel Core LGA 1700 processors, codenamed Alder Lake.

The manufacturer begins the description of the board by mentioning the appearance, which is designed to “set the PC apart from the others,” and the 17-phase power supply subsystem.

The ATX board built on the Intel Z690 chipset includes four DIMM slots. Supports modules up to DDR4-5000 + (OC) with a total volume of up to 128 GB and dual-channel configuration. System expansion options are provided by a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot that operates in x4 mode, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. There are eight SATA 6 Gb / s ports and three M.2 slots for connecting drives. Two of them support M.2 Type 2280 PCIe drives (each slot has four PCIe 4.0 lanes). The third slot has PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6 Gb / s interfaces. It supports M.2 Type 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 drives. If the SSD in this slot is equipped with a SATA 6Gb / s interface, one of the SATA 6Gb / s ports becomes unavailable. There is one more M.2 slot, but it is designed for installing a wireless module.

The board’s equipment also includes a 2.5 GbE port, seven USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and six USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, DP and DVI-D video outputs. The eight-channel codec ALC1220 completes the picture.

The manufacturer does not name the price of the board.

Rumor Nvidia Stops Production of GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs After

A steep rise in the value of major cryptocurrencies triggered a cascade of events that resulted in the collapse of prices for new video cards. Many models have fallen in price, including top ones like the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti: with a recommended price of $1,200 (in the US), it is offered by the largest American retailers, Newegg and Amazon, for less than $1,000.

Rumor: Nvidia Stops Production of GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs After GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Drops in Price

A small price gap between the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and the GeForce RTX 3080 with 12GB of memory has led Nvidia to suspend shipments of GPUs to partners for the latter. So wrote one of the Twitter users familiar with the situation. It is impossible to confirm or refute these words, but in general such a development of events can be considered quite probable.

Up to 8 XE cores and 6 GB of memory

The database of the SiSoftware Sandra test package has fresh data on the upcoming Arc A40 Pro and Arc A50 Pro graphics cards. These are graphics accelerators for workstations that are designed for engineering tasks.

Up to 8 XE cores and 6 GB of memory

The A50 Pro has a full ACM-G11 GPU with 8 Xe cores (128 execution units/1024 FP32 cores), while the A40 Pro is likely to get a stripped-down version of the chip. The clock frequency is 2.45 GHz.

Both cards have 6 GB GDDR6 memory, indicating a 96-bit memory bus. In this regard, both models are similar to the Arc A380 mobile card, which has almost the same configuration.
