Bill Gates, 65, has been vaccinated against COVID-19 and is doing great

American entrepreneur and public figure, philanthropist, one of the founders, former largest shareholder of Microsoft Bill Gates, said on Twitter that he had been vaccinated against COVID-19 and was feeling great.

One of the benefits of being 65 is that I am eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. This week I got my first vaccination and I feel great. Thanks to all the scientists, trial participants, regulators, and frontline medical staff who helped us achieve this.

Prior to that, Bill Gates was an active advocate for scientific prevention of epidemics, and his Gates Foundation has allocated hundreds of millions of dollars to accelerate the development and distribution of new tools for testing coronavirus, drugs and vaccines.

The early vaccination program in the United States vaccinates first medical personnel and groups living in long-term care settings, such as nursing homes, and then seniors aged 75 and over. Then people over the age of 65 are vaccinated.

Late last year, Gates urged Americans to wear masks while awaiting vaccinations and to continue to practice social distancing, saying he believes all vaccines in development will work well.
