The team of the popular messenger Telegram has announced a major update. In Telegram 7.1, filters for search have appeared, as well as the ability to anonymously administer groups, leave comments on posts in channels, and much more.
Searching has become more convenient. The user can view the search results in separate tabs “Media”, “Links”, “Files”, etc. You can limit the date range by typing August 14 or yesterday in the search bar. Similarly, you can search by messages from a specific user, group, channel or bot. Filters by message type, date and source can overlap.
If you enable anonymity in the list of administrator rights for a group, that administrator is hidden from the list of members. His chat messages will be published on behalf of the group, as it happens in channels.
The function of comments on posts in channels has also left the beta stage. If a discussion group is linked to a channel, a new button will appear under each post to navigate to comments. You can enable comments for your channel in the channel settings in the “Discussion” section.
Comments for each post are shown separately, but they can also be viewed through the discussion group. If a user is not among the members of the group associated with the channel, he will receive notifications about replies to his comments through the special “Answers” chat.
Android app has new smooth animations for keyboard keyboard and switching between day and night theme. In addition, new pop-up notifications have been added – for example, when deleting messages, changing alert settings for chats, or saving media.
In group chats, you can view an enlarged photo of a participant by holding a thumbnail with your finger. And those who use multiple accounts in the same app can now quickly view other chat lists by holding their finger on the switch.
In addition, new animated emojis have appeared.
