Announcing yesterday the Ryzen 5000 desktop processors, which are now faster than competing Intel chips even in games, AMD also could not resist a little “seed” before the full presentation of the Radeon RX 6000 (Navi 2X) graphics cards with the 2nd generation RDNA architecture. It is not yet clear what the final name will be given to the top-end Radeon RX 6000 series card – Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6950 XT or some other. The slide shown by AMD shows the results of the top-end Radeon RX 6000 in three games at 4K resolution. The company selected the following games for tests: Borderlands 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Gears of War 5. In all measurements were carried out with high graphics settings (Ultra profile), and the basis of the test bench was the Ryzen 9 5900X (12 cores / 24 threads, 3.7 / 4.8 GHz). You can see the results in the image below.

As you can see, the flagship Radeon RX 6000 in terms of performance is between the RTX 2080 Ti and the RTX 3080. Already now we can say with confidence that the top-end Radeon RX 6000 will be able to compete with the flagship of the Turing generation, but whether the “big Navi” can compete with the current RTX 3080 generation Ampere – a question that can be answered only after the presentation, where the specifications and prices will be announced, and full-fledged independent tests.

The full announcement of the RX 6000 series of graphics cards, which will compete with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series adapters, will take place on October 28.
