The Beats range of wireless headphones has now been expanded with a new model – Flex. The device does not belong to the category of fully wireless (TWS), but, on the one hand, this design is quite standard for sports models, and secondly, the cost of the new item is low – only $ 50.
Beats announced Flex today for a reason. The premiere took place immediately after the announcement of the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro, from the delivery set of which the headphones just disappeared. So when looking for a new iPhone, users may be interested in these headphones as well.
Beats Flex, like many similar models, are equipped with magnets: when both headphones are connected, the sound stops playing. The autonomy of the device is 12 hours – one charge should be enough for a full working day and the way from home to work and back. Charging is via a USB-C port (the predecessor Beats X used a Lightning connector) and fast charging is supported: 10 minutes of plugging into a USB-C port gives 1.5 hours of battery life. Beats Flex features an Apple W1 chip for instant connectivity to an iPhone or iPad.
The new product is already available for pre-order in the US, and retail sales will start on October 23rd. There are four color versions, as you can see in the picture above.
