Baldur’s Gate 3 will receive democratic multiplayer and integration with Twitch

The continuation of Baldur’s Gate, although delayed by almost two decades, the developers from Larian did not live in the bunker all this time. Through the Divinity series, the team developed skills, communicated with gamers and came up with interesting ideas for the third “Baldur’s Gate”.

Democracy in Baldur’s Gate 3

A new issue of the Larian dev diary dedicated to online component… As with Divinity: Original Sin, players will be able to play Baldur’s Gate 3 in co-op. So that the party members do not argue about the choice in the dialogues, the developers have added a voting system.

Users can vote on their favorite actions or words, and the game will show the percentage of choice. For example, if a vampire character wants to “eat”, then the players can vote who from the party will sacrifice himself.

The developers note that this is an experiment, and thanks to the “Early Access” they can understand how much players will like it.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will also receive the popular Twitch integration in 2020. Viewers on the broadcast will also be able to vote by indicating or prompting the streamer with an option. Moreover, this is an optional thing, so spectator voting can be omitted.

Larian still has a lot of ideas, and in the next issue of the development diaries, gamers were promised to talk about the romantic part of Baldur’s Gate 3.
