Atmospheric V12 with 650 hp weighing less than 1 ton, it is “the lightest supercar ever built.” Production of Gordon Murray T50 has started
The Gordon Murray T50 supercar is launched, which the creators call the cleanest and lightest supercar ever created.
More specifically, the manufacturer’s wording sounds like this: it is “the cleanest, lightest and most driver-oriented supercar ever created.” It is not very clear what is meant by purity, but the mass is really impressive. The machine weighs less than a ton (986 kg). This result was achieved, among other things, thanks to the use of a carbon chassis, which, together with all panels, weighs only 150 kg. Other components were also tried to be as light as possible, and even nuts and bolts were ostensibly evaluated for weight reduction. For example, the driver’s seat weighs 7 kg, and two passenger seats (triple car) are generally only 3 kg each!
Considering that the machine has a power of 650 hp, it is easy to calculate that the specific power is 0.66 hp. for every kilogram. The specified power is developed by a naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 engine with a volume of 4 liters.
You can also note the exclusively manual transmission and a 400mm fan in the rear of the car, which is designed to create additional downforce, replacing the rear wing.
In total, the company will produce only 100 road cars worth £2.8 million each. Most of them are already sold out. Another 25 track versions will also be produced, which, apparently, will not be able to travel on public roads.

Headphones Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ will measure the owner’s temperature and pulse

Huawei introduced the FreeBuds Pro 2+ wireless headphones. According to her, these are the world’s first headphones with the function of measuring the pulse and body temperature of its owner. The novelty is equipped with a dual-mode heart rate sensor and supports the “industry’s first 3D intelligent temperature measurement algorithm.” Data on the user’s heart rate and body temperature in real time is sent to his smartphone, and in case of suboptimal performance, the owner of the headphones will receive a notification.
As for the direct duties of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+, sound reproduction, the headphones received 11 mm drivers, support for “deep bass” (low frequencies reach 14 Hz) and active noise reduction: a three-microphone system allows you to block extraneous noise up to 47 dB. The headphones also support Huawei L2HC and LDACTM codecs and provide high-definition spatial sound transmission. Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ has several sound playback modes, for example, as in a concert hall or a cinema, and a six-axis position sensor is responsible for tracking the movements of the user’s head.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ wireless headphones are made in white with a golden rim. They will go on sale in the Chinese market on April 7 this year at a price of 1,499 yuan (about $219).

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will get brand new and fully 64-bit cores

According to recent data, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 single-chip system can receive a 1 + 2 + 3 + 2 format configuration.
According to insider Kuba Wojciechowski, we are waiting for one Hunter ELP super-core, which Qualcomm itself will call Kryo Gold Plus, two Hunter cores (Titanium), three Hunter cores (Gold) and two Hayes (Silver). The platform itself is codenamed Lanai or Pineapple.
If we compare this with early information, then we are probably talking about Cortex-X4, Cortex-A715, Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 / 515. However, the insider says that the Hunter and Hayes cores, that is, all cores, will be completely new solutions, that is, apparently, not Cortex-A715 and the others listed above. The new cores will not support 32-bit computing, which means that all 2024 flagships that will receive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be fully 64-bit following the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
In addition, the new platform will receive an Adreno 750 GPU with a frequency of 770 MHz, although this is not the final value.
Wojciechowski was previously the first to point out that Xiaomi will switch to using JLQ platforms. In addition, he was the first to discover information about the modified configuration of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Radeon RX 7900 XTX overclocked to 3.4 GHz on the core with a native cooling system. Consumption increased to 650 W

As you know, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX overclocks well if you can supply enough power to the card. The well-known overclocker Der8auer managed to raise the GPU frequency of such an adapter to 3.4 GHz.
The important thing is that the native liquid cooling system was enough to achieve such a result. The PowerColor Liquid Devil model was taken as the basis, which is one of the best overclocking options for the RX 7900 XTX, and at the same time it is equipped with liquid CO.
In 3DMark Time Spy Extreme, the adapter could operate at 3244 MHz, which earned it a score of 17,700 and took 13th place in the overall rating. In games, the frequency increased to 3.4 GHz. At the same time, the adapter consumed an impressive 650 watts.
